German architect and pipe maker, Dirk Heinemann has made a career out of pushing the boundaries of shape, line, and proportion, as seen here in this ring revealling, sandblasted Grainbug estate pipe.  Extending panels and sculpting curves as far as possible, he has introduced the world to this shape and captured its composition in resplendent growth rings of straight grained briar.  Mounting the stem in military style it can be removed while the pipe is still warm and reinforced with a band of brass to ensure it is always snug and secure, this palm friendly smoker sits in three positions and has a sweet spot sized, conical chamber for broad suitability among most tobaccos.  Certainly an heirloom pipe made to be enjoyed for at least a century, this handmade is in excellent condition, with its original sleeve and Dirk's own mock-up drawing, while resonating with those who disrupt the status quo and wish to look good while doing it.
